If you live in the Channel Islands and suffer from aching varicose veins or unsightly blue thread veins, we can help.
Castle Quay Veincare, Jersey is a specialist veins clinic which is held at Castle Quay Medical Practice every Thursday morning. We offer careful clinical assessment supported by duplex ultrasound scan to make an accurate diagnosis of your problem. We then have a range of modern therapies to deal with both varicose and thread veins.
Our mission is to correct the underlying cause of your problem, get rid of the varicose veins and achieve a first class cosmetic result. All our treatment packages are fixed price and we will give you a written quotation before you proceed.
Clinical examination is carried out by Mr Gerard Williams, a highly experienced Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Varicose Veins Specialist. Gerard practiced in North Manchester for many years before relocating to Jersey General Hospital. He was the first Manchester surgeon to introduce the new “endovenous” treatments – starting with laser therapy but then progressing to radiofrequency VNUS closure. Gerard is Jersey's resident Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Clinical Director at the General Hospital.
VNUS closure has replaced surgical stripping and is approved by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). This means no more operations under anaesthetic, staying overnight in hospital, groin incisions, stitches, prolonged down time etc. Instead we use local anaesthetic, home an hour later and back to work next day. The times have changed!
Thread and spider veins are treated by the simple injection technique of microsclerotherapy which is almost painless.
We mostly treat self paying patients but also those who are medically insured. Feel free to ask any questions!

"I received excellent treatment and aftercare from Castle Quay Veincare. It was nice to feel so well looked after and it's good to be able to get my legs out again. I wish I had undergone this treatment years ago."
