The clinic is based at the Castle Quay Medical Practice on the waterfront and has a dedicated operating theatre, nursing team and organiser Marie Morrin. Gerard offers a very personal service which is tailored to your needs. There is usually a concern about the appearance of the legs but other symptoms may include pain, itch, heaviness, swelling, skin pigmentation or more serious problems such as varicose eczema or even an ulcer.

You will be treated with respect and dignity in an atmosphere of professional courtesy. We will answer your questions. You and your GP will receive a copy of the letter written at the end of your visit which summarizes the problem and suggested treatment. We will discuss what can be achieved by an operation or indeed whether you might be better taking a wait and see approach. There is no pressure to undergo a procedure and we do not expect you to make a decision immediately. Your individual needs will be carefully considered before we agree a plan for treatment. 

We fully understand that this is an important event and we will help you to make the best decision for your health and well-being. Gerard and Marie are always available should you wish to have further advice.

We believe in complete financial clarity so all consultations, investigations and operations are fixed price. You will receive a written quotation before you proceed.

If you decide to have a procedure you will be carefully looked after by Gerard and his team. We run the theatre to exactly the same standards as the hospital but most of our patients find that the atmosphere is more relaxed. I regard the operation as a collaboration between the patient, myself and the nursing team. You are made to feel relaxed and in control throughout.

After surgery you will be contacted on the next day by our nursing team so that you will feel supported. We will arrange to see you back in the clinic where we examine the legs and carry out a confirmatory duplex ultrasound scan. We always aim for a perfect cosmetic result.
